The Cicada Closet is a female-owned tattoo studio and local art gallery in Norman, Oklahoma—a welcoming space for custom tattoos, original artwork, and creative connection.

The walls double as a gallery. Local artists can hang work there and keep 100% of what sells, with no commission and no fees.

The Space

The Cicada Closet Artist Walls

Set against the studio’s deep green walls, The Cicada Closet Artist Walls feature rotating work from local artists. Artists can exhibit and sell their work with no commission or display fees, allowing every purchase to go directly to the artist.

The Cicada Closet was built to be more than a tattoo studio. It is a place where creativity is celebrated, shared, and supported in all its forms.

Owner & Founder

Jenna Feezel

Tattoo artist, painter, and the founder of The Cicada Closet.

Jenna Feezel earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art before beginning her career in tattooing.

Nature is the foundation of Jenna’s work. Inspired by its movement, resilience, and quiet lessons of growth and release, her paintings explore color and organic form. Her tattoo work commonly lives in black and grey, but she is working towards implementing the same colorful aesthetic into her tattooing process.

Motherhood has deepened Jenna’s relationship with creativity and connection. For her, tattooing is more than the finished piece—it is a process built on vulnerability, laughter, healing, and trust, with many clients becoming friends along the way.
